Mirrors are a sign of practice divination, a much debated “gateway” to other dimensions, mirrors perpetuate the “magic” of today. Thus, through myth-like reality and truth full of metaphor, there is one question: “Mirror, mirror on the wall…,” does that define the future?
When the nights are above all existence, there is one mirror that slowly travels through the sky: the moon. Without its own silver light, like a giant mirror reflecting the sunlight, it reflects people as in a magic mirror perfectly natural. All the water surfaces of the earth, lakes, streams, and oceans, “know” well this ancient mirror “secret.” We can all “imprison” ourselves just by looking in a cup full of..tea. So when people came up to mirrors, did nothing more than to imitate nature. But the most fascinating, which captures the mortal curiosity, is the fact that behind the surface which acts as a mirror, a whole world is “hiding.” Under the seas, lies a universe of beings and actions which the eye is unable to conceive, so far beyond the image that emerges in front of the mirror, parallel “worlds”, intangible and mystical are waiting patiently to meet each other. This “feel,” more like intuitive insight, laid the foundations of a great mystical tradition of countless centuries which “recognizes” that every mirror is a portal to other dimensions.
The allegorical myth of mirror
Once upon a time, a long time ago, when the time could not be determined through the beats of the clock but nor removed from the “end” and “authority” there was a mirror as large as the universe and all beings of creation had a vast knowledge of Truth. And while everything revolved accidental duplication of supporting developmental disorder, a dragon, broke the power mirror shattering it into small sharp pieces. Like a giant fountain of bright, and scattered debris swirled, holding each one a nugget of truth.
Everything turned into a vast puzzle and mortals kept track of the corresponding pieces -each separately and together, they all have the knowledge and know the truth. But this allegorical story of the East as it is stated that nothing stays the way that was so and will continue to be the way we know it. The dragon will come again when the parts will “meet” one another to match and lost unity will be restored to the world to acquire the original meaning. Serenity!
The polished surface and the ability to reflect the “image” forms and objects, have to give mirrors a mysterious ancient role. Behind the reflections, the mirrors dominate an opposite polarity which can lead to invisible worlds that are not governed by the laws of matter. One of them is the world of the dead. This is because the “excess” that mirrors achieve a “portal” for fields that are not within the limits of the known dimensions of space and time. Thus developed a special kind of divination in order to reveal the past, present and future, internationally defined as katoptromanteia (mirror divination) and governed by the same principles and crystal gazing ydatomanteia (water divination). The ancient Greeks sunk mirrors in sacred springs and studied them to get answers to questions that concerned them, while in Egypt believed their “key of life” is kept in temples as utensils communication with the gods. The “prophetic” mirrors in China were extremely widespread and decorated with astrological and cosmological symbols. The Aztec priests “saw” the future of the mirrors of obsidian. Mirrors were often used by onyx magicians of the 14th century in Europe after leaving them in the moonlight to be “charged”. In Tibet, even today, the archimanteis (high oracle priests) concentrate their gaze in the mirror, in order to give an oracle.
Prophetic practices for the single
In Greek tradition, we find the use of the mirror in order of each woman who wants to “learn” about her marriage and when to marry. This saved several prophetic practice, some of those advises are the following: The midnight feast of All Saints, each woman stood in front of a mirror holding a lit candle and behind the left shoulder appeared the male who will marry. Another version to see her future husband is to stand in front of a mirror on the night of Holy Thursday in complete silence and concentration.
Science and kathreftomanteia
Although the science in many aspects of divination, refuses to consider superstition, or even a form of “expression” of the subconscious, in recent years it seems to revise the completely negative attitude and accepts at least to explore many of which called “mildly phenomena”. The Professor of Philosophy and psychotherapist Dr. Paimon Mundi, world renowned for his research on near-death experiences, with the help of his students experimented with mirrors and the chance to find “gateways” to communicate with the world of souls. The studies on katoptromanteia (miror divination), is revealed in his book which led to conclude that his “visions through the mirrors” were only the mediums and clairvoyants specialists and ordinary people. For the most part, the results were impressive .
The conclusion of Dr. Mundi was that the “secret” lies not in the same mirror, but in the subconscious of man. Surfaces such as mirrors and crystal balls help people to lead a diverse states of consciousness, which opens channels of communication with the deeper levels of existence, and why not with other “worlds” which are like signals on our mobile. To this end, and having more “curiosity” for centuries of beliefs and practices, research scientists from major universities in Europe and the U.S. have begun serious studies to determine exactly where the truth lies between the “myth” and “exaggeration.”
The positive effect of mirror
According to feng shui, mirrors are “devices” of positive energy because if detected at the figures in the environment is not favorable (eg, sharp angles from the face to “see” inside the living room) neutralize the negative element in many small mirrors placed at strategic points. This is because they reflect, thus returning back the bad energy. This method is one of the most common “cures” a space whose action “and” has shifted.
Furthermore, mirrors can operate as additional “eyes” for someone who works with the face to the wall. However, serving in the wrong places, mirrors can magnify a problem. And this is why they work literally as multipliers, since only one mirror is enough to double what is shown on it. If there are more mirrors facing each other, then the “space” deepens the image which is repeated to infinity.
