I was thinking the other day how can each season affect our mood, and I have decided to share with you my thoughts. We are at the beginning of Spring, well, for most of us living on the northern hemisphere. I took a look at the view outside the window and I saw what beautiful colors spring can draw. All these colorful flowers, all these beautiful trees, a sun which finally makes a warmer day. My mood changed to the better, that’s for sure. We all had a severe cold winter, some of us liked it, some of us had a hard time going through. I really do like some parts of winter thought, playing in the snow, making a snowman, staying in the house right next to the fireplace (my favorite), Christmas trees all around us etc. I just hate too much cold. My opinion, all seasons have some beauty hidden inside them. Each season separately makes a smile in our lips. Lets go back to see what our memory tells us, and by reading this post, I am sure your mood will get better remembering how each season makes us smile!
Well, lets go through each season and try to find their hidden beauty,
Spring, for me, it just feels like waking from a long long winter sleep. Finally we can go out more, take some walks around the park, experiencing new smells from all this green around us. Beautiful flowers begin to grow, which make our day more colorful and much more alive! We feel so much better because it finally got warmer. The power of spring and its regenerative effects are evidenced by the fact that every major religion includes a major holiday in the spring season. From Passover to Easter, it seems that every culture marks spring with a celebration of renewal and new life. It is easy to understand how in times past ancient cultures were overjoyed by the power of spring and the beauty of new life. For the outdoor sports enthusiast, there is nothing like the coming of the spring season. For the fisherman, the coming of spring means the first day of trout season. For the avid hiker, spring means that those favorite trails are no longer impassable due to snow, and for the horseback rider spring means being able to take a ride without first bundling up. And of course spring means the opening of baseball season, a joy for spectators and players alike. And what is the most important thought? Summer is coming!!
Summer, the most favorite season for most people. Going to the beach for swimming and a variety of activities. While I’m writing you this, I really can’t wait for summer! I’m not going to write too much about summer. I have found a poem for you which explains it all, and for the copyright I got it from http://www.spiritisup.com a great site, you should visit.
~ Beauty Of Summer ~
Beauty of summer means grass so green,
Animals grazing the meadow can be seen.
Relaxing with a book under a large oak tree,
This is the beauty of summer for me.
Large white clouds floating across the sky
Bringing a song of happiness to my soul,
I feel that God has not been shy
Lending this beauty of summer to behold.
A handiwork of colors all across the land,
The beauty of summer is beyond compare,
Seeds scattered with God’s lavish hand,
The beauty of summer He chose to share.
Now as the beauty of summer slips away
This beauty will return on another day.
God changes the seasons from above,
Beauty of summer will return with His love.
Autumn (or Fall), the sounds of earth-toned leaves being crushed as I stroll through the local parks, there’s just something memorizing about the color blend that Mother Nature had put together for us all. Nature’s color palate changes, trees seem to grow :) ! Halloween is coming hehe! School starts in most countries in the middle of September. Well, in American that’s in the middle of August, I really hated that.
All those golden autumn days the sky was full of wings. Wings beating low over the blue water of Silver Lake, wings beating high in the blue air far above it . . . bearing them all away to the green fields in the South.
– Laura Ingalls Wilder
There is something nice about Autumn. I don’t know it just feels something nice. I hate the leaves going down thinking that summer is over, but even when the leaves go down and the sky is gray I can picture it in my head like something really really beautiful, something artistic.
Winter, well here is my old friend winter..! My mother once asked me when I was a kid, “What is your favorite season?” I always used to answer “Winter!” She got surprised asking me why while the rest of my family answered summer, “Well, I told her, we have Christmas, I really like to play in the snow.” Despite what I wrote at the beginning of the post about hating this season, it has its hidden beauty, as I wrote before, I only hate the too much cold. I found this article at http://www.allfreeessays.com yesterday, “Winter, The Season of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.” That seemed funny for me. Think about it, it is something like that!
My conclusion is that, even if we hate some seasons or not, every season has its own hidden beauty. We keep memories of past years of how beautiful were those winters or summers we went through. A Season really changes our mood. It makes us smile one way or the other.
